Centerton Community Invited to Participate in Community and Business Workshops
Centerton, AR, January 18, 2019 – The City of Centerton Planning Department is hosting two workshops to gain insight and input for the City’s Comprehensive Plan update. The purpose of these two workshops is to allow community members to express their comments and concerns about the City. Community outreach and engagement is a vital part of the planning process and input received from community members will be used for the creation of the Centerton Comprehensive Plan.
The Community Workshop is open to all Centerton residents to provide input about the priority issues, actions, and assets in the City. It will be held on Thursday, February 21 at 6:30 pm at The Ravington, 293 N. Main Street. The Business Workshop is geared towards individuals that own or manage businesses in the City as their perspective is particularly unique to market and development issues. This workshop will be held on Friday, February 22 at 7:30 am at the Watercolors of Centerton Clubhouse, 1709 E. Centerton Blvd. Public input is critical to ensuring the Centerton Comprehensive Plan addresses the issues and needs of the community and these workshops are an opportunity to share your ideas and concerns.

About the Comprehensive Plan
The Centerton Comprehensive Plan update is the blueprint for the City’s future. It is a community vision, intended to guide the Centerton for the next 10-20 years. The Comprehensive Plan will result in a set of policies that direct future growth and development as laid forth by the community. Additionally, the creation of a Plan can lead to potential strategies that will help effectively guide City leaders with making substantive and thoughtful decisions for the community.
